Hundred Moons

Hundred Moons

I’d give you the sun if I could
but it seems I’m not good

at giving. See, you’ve lassoed me a hundred moons
while I’ve sat in my room

thinking, making, emotionally breaking
while you’re out piece-of-caking

life. I certainly give you whole universes I find inside
because that’s where I hide,

but I know the time has come
to break down the walls and let you fall

in love with a wife without fears
who gives you the sun in her tears

that drop from pleasure
and measure our love in joys.
