Little Maggie's 1yr Portrait Session Adventure

Guys, I have to tell you, I have stalked Emily's Instagram page watching Maggie blossom from a teeny tiny newborn that I photographed a year ago into the beautiful one year old she is now.

I kept my fingers crossed hoping Emily would ask me to do her one year portraits. Lol! I just needed to capture her preciousness, especially those eyes!

Our one hour session was quite the adventure, as they often are with kiddos who've just learned to walk. :) Maggie ran the shoot and I happily tagged along. ;) Come with us as we journey about Edgewater Park in Williams Bay! Brace yourselves for cute.

The day began with a little bridge sit, where we got heavily distracted by a duck. I mean, who wouldn't? They're so cute. As is Maggie with her sweet little pup at her side.

Maggie says, "Oh hey. Who are you? I'm watching ducks, lady."

After ducks, the camera became much more interesting, and we spent an awesome 15min running around excitedly grabbing grass and flowers. Worth it.

Particularly worth it when she grabbed this wildflower and tickled herself with it. Best. Laugh. Ever.

Suddenly, it was time to celebrate being one with rockin' apple printed bloomers and a cake. Commence one year old cake smash!

We have no idea what we've gotten into, but does it taste delectable. THOSE EYES!

Classic sugar high has set in and she's off to do as she pleases!

And we end the afternoon with a little dip in the lake to clean off the frosting and play with sand! 1yr portraits a success!
